Elementary School
2014 Reading Initiative

Literacy is the foundation for all learning. Below is a list of reading initiatives that we have implemented over the past year to improve student achievement. We are continuing to develop strategies to build upon the growth made over the past year.

Parent Involvement
Once a month our school social worker and parent consultant will take a collaborative approach to  host a series of workshops titled:  "Pastries with Parents". This series will provide parents with various academic and community resources to help promote a healthy, safe, engaged, and supported learning environment to educate the whole child. The first workshop will take place: October 27, 2014 beginning at 8:45 a.m. in the computer lab.
